Explore the Classes

  • Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing practice of down-regulating the nervous system, enticing the mind to focus inward, supporting the body to let go, and creating inner space.

In order to fully release, we begin with a stretch in languid, comfortable postures to release tension. We realign the body after long days of sitting, driving, or laboring and often use straps or a wall to assist.

    One hour

  • Stability Yoga is a slow practice focused on core balance, gentle stretch, and mental focus. The class is partly standing, partly laying down, a full body experience with no extreme strength or flexibility required.

Based on Hatha yoga but modified to suit the beginner and the injured - Ha is Sun, Tha is Moon - this practice is a whole body-mind experience. Expect attainable, well-explained postures, a balancing of the endocrine system (hormones), and a feeling of spaciousness and calm.

Grace and gentleness are signatures of this class; while steadiness prevails, transitions are smooth in the body, and Nina narrates the entire class with clear instruction and info about safe posturing and intentional breathing.

Beginners are encouraged, injuries are modified and accommodated.

    One hour

  • WHAT IS YOGA NIDRA? WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?

Yoga nidra is a deeply comfortable state of rest - in between waking and sleeping - in which the body, mind, and emotions are completely relaxed, yet the person remains fully conscious.

This deep, relaxing yogic sleep is achieved through guided breathing and simple instructions, visualizations and body scans.

Combined with a mystical sound bath of resonant crystals and chimes, healing waves penetrate the body more fully, and the mind is open to healthy and positive suggestions. Deep relaxation aligns the nervous system and restores balance to body and mind.

The influence of this deep, penetrating sound combined with meditation releases energetic and emotional blockages, leaving you feeling refreshed, relaxed, and deeply touched.

Meet Nina Bryden

Love Sounds Yoga

The lovely community of North Bend hosted Nina’s first yoga classes more than 13 years ago when she was newly certified to teach the hatha practice that saved her knee. While healing the knee, Nina noticed an improvement in her overall health, an enhanced sense of wellbeing, and a mental gentleness that felt like resilience and belief. There was no turning back, she was in love with yoga and its world.

Her practice has expanded to include restorative and meditation yoga practices, reiki and reflexology, as well as sound bathing and music therapy. A nearly lifelong piano teacher, Nina’s incorporation of harmony, dissonance and vibrational sound as a means to affect positive change to body, mind and spirit is a natural fit.

She loves to collaborate with unique talents, so Nina’s events are often creatively combined with extraordinarily talented people throughout our valley.

In relaxation, Nina is usually found with a book, a drawing pad, a Mariner’s score pad, or hovering over Wingspan with her family. Trees are always nearby.
